199 LANGUAGE

Understanding a language in terms of its own concepts and criteria tends to preclude understanding it in any other terms. If understanding is attempted (you want to say something about this language) you must use a projection system which is not deductively related to that language: you must use one which has its own criteria, its own form of life.
