According to Koertge, translation is possible between theories; we can even postulate a comparison theory that does serve the purpose of classical reductivist 'bridge laws'. Other statements in the comparison theory will make the difference between the ontological presuppositions of the two theories explicit, as well as the models/metaphors they employ, their rules of evidence and their heuristic potential.
